Venom was launched back in 2018 and was the great hit of the year. The movie stars Tom Hardy in the lead role as Venom, the superhero or we should say supervillain and Riz Ahmed as the Riot. Well, if you are already a fan of Venom, let us tell you that there will be a sequel to the movie which is going to release in 2020.
For now, there is no official date for the launch of the movie, but we have news which will surely excite you. As you may have noticed Woody Harrelson was introduced in the post-credit scene of 2018’s Venom. Also, the character mentions the name Carnage and said, “There’s gonna be carnage.”
And if you are a Spider-man fan, if you have followed the comics, who might get the hint of the sequel from that scene only. As, Carnage, which is a symbiote like Riot, is the villain in the comics. That clearly shows that the sequel, Venom 2 will feature Woody Harrelson as Carnage and we will be seeing a great Venom vs Carnage fight. Yay!
The rumors of Woody Harrelson’s entry in the Venom 2 as Carnage had been there for a long time, but for now, it’s officially confirmed that Venom 2 is in works and will feature Woody Harrelson in a negative role.
Kelly Marcel will come back to pen down the story of the sequel, whereas, this time Andy Serkis will be directing the movie with many new members in the team to make the supervillain sequel.
