Netflix has released a trailer for the upcoming season of Lucifer. The series is making its return on Netflix after the show was discontinued on Fox after its Season 3.
Lucifer Season 4 will premiere on May 8th, and the series has ten episodes in total. All the previous three seasons were aired on Fox, but its Season 4 won’t come on Fox. You can only watch the new season under the Netflix service.
In comparison to previous seasons, Season 4 has a lesser number of episodes, but the show’s star Tom Ellis says it will be richer and more intense. It also allows the story to be concise and relevant.
In the words of Tom Wills from an interview last year, “Having it in this [10-episode] format means that our story is distilled down to being much richer. What’s at stake in each episode is much higher.”
Many of the fans were left disappointed when they heard the news of its cancellation by Fox. But Netflix picked it up from the dead and renewed its next season, which made fans really happy.
The cast of Lucifer Season 4 includes Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar and Lauren German as the detective Chloe Decker.
Kevin Alejandro will play the role of Detective Dan Espinoza and Lesley-Ann Brandt will portray the character of Mazikeen.
Lucifer’s official Twitter account has shared a video, presented by Tom Ellis, explaining all the events so far in the series for any newcomers who will be watching the series for the first time or so.
